Employee Spotlight: Emilee Guderyon

By night, she’s a fiancé, dog mom and athlete. By day, she’s a rock star in the world of professional sales! As an Account Executive, Emilee is one of the many faces of the brand. As a sales representative, she provides the first impression of our company. She is a leading force in client interactions, conference preparation and attendance, and our interoffice “The Bachelor” bracket (for all the Colton fans out there)! From April through September, Emilee will also be a part of the 2019 New Member Engagement Task Force for the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development (SHSMD), helping the organization work to improve members’ interactions and experiences. You can catch her at the SHSMD Annual Conference in September at the Music City Center in Nashville, where Emilee and the Task Force will also be facilitating a New Member and First-Time Attendee Kickoff!

Describe what you do on a day-to-day basis.
I send emails, make phone calls, enter projects, answer questions from other sales reps, make project proposals for clients and discuss projects with the creative team.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I love building relationships with my clients. Being an account executive is so much more than selling… It is about getting to know your clients and their organizations. Learning about upcoming vacations, pets, sports, etc. is what makes my job so much fun.

How has helped you grow?
The biggest thing that IW has helped me to grow is my confidence. Being confident in our products, my recommendations and my goals.

Any interesting work-related or client success stories?
This isn’t exactly a success story, but it’s one of my favorite adventures. While I was at a conference in San Francisco last year, one of my clients (who was not even going to the conference) and her husband drove over an hour to come pick us up and take us on a tour of the city. We spent a few hours seeing the Golden Gate Bridge, eating lunch and seeing the most crooked street in the world! It was the epitome of why I love my job.

Favorite place to travel in Wisconsin?
Door County (all the wine Smile)

Secret talent or something about you that would surprise people?
I compete in archery tournaments across the state.

How do you define success?
Defining success is different for everyone. To me, the definition of success is an attitude:

  • You wake up with meaning and are enthusiastic about the day ahead.
  • When you go to bed, you feel good about what you accomplished.

Anything else you want our clients to know about you?
My bucket-list goal is to play golf in every state.
